We held the Bluebonnet parties for third, fourth, and fifth grades on the morning of February 13, 2009. The students had a great time, and so did I!
As they entered the science lab, the party decorations revealed which book was the overall Texas Bluebonnet winner for this year:
One Potato, Two Potato by Cynthia DeFelice. The students enjoyed blue frosted Krispy Kreme doughnuts and blue drinks. Students were able to have their faces painted with a bluebonnet. We played two games b

One Potato, Two Potato. Students attempted to throw a gold coin in a black pot to win a free paperback book. Then they played two rounds of hot potato with both of the winners also choosing a free book. At the end of the party each student was able to choose a free paperback book, a pencil, and a bookmark with the new Bluebonnet list on it.
